Tapio Community School provides education for children in the region of Tapio, Haiti for students of parents who can't afford to pay for them to go to school. Since 2012, the school has moved, from a surplus tent into two permanent building structures. There are 233 students in grades K through 9th grade and a staff of 15 teachers.
The Director and Founder of the Tapio School is Pastor Joseph Jean. Teaching the Word of God is rare in Haiti and is incorporated in the daily lessons.
A feeding program was started in 2018 to provide nutritious meals for the students and the staff. Two cooks are on the school staff to prepare and oversee this feeding program.
